Meet our team
Karen Hare - Chief Executive
I joined the charity in 2009 & I have loved every minute. I'm kept very busy meeting lots of interesting people & I look forward to meeting more. I listen to the people we work with & provide help & projects to meet their needs. Please feel free if I can help you or you can help us in any way please give me a call: 01473 211884
I'm always amazed at the generosity of people & to be honest we couldn't do it without you. We have no affiliation to any national body or charity so it's your support that helps us to make a difference to people before during & after cancer.
I’m very proud of Cancer Campaign in Suffolk & the projects that we run today & the new ones that we’re working on for the future. We have expanded our team to 4 which is great & its made it possible for us to improve our website, expand our beauty & wellbeing workshop as well as helping us to reach more people with our body & cancer awareness workshops. I'm lucky to have such a great team around me they show care, compassion, humour & a passion to help others, together with your help we can achieve 'great things' & make a difference to those we work with.
You'll see below the talents of my team & with ref to food... I'm not a bad cook but just not as good with cakes
& cupcakes as the others!

Sandra Baldwin - Marketing and Web Manager
Sandra has a wealth of experience of business development and marketing, looking at everything with an analytical eye to benefit the charity. Working on lots of exciting new projects, supporting the team.
Sandra is a great communicator, caring, compassionate with a great sense of humour, she's always ready to lend a hand and support everyone. She is a qualified hairdresser and is a great help at the It's All About You beauty & wellbeing workshops. Sandra like Sarah is also a great cook & provides terrific cakes (with the help of her little girl) that we all enjoy so much at the workshop. Sandra has an eye for detail & brings sparkling bling into our lives.
CCiS relies on a team of wonderful ambassadors who selflessly give up their time to ensure we can continue delivering
our vital services to Suffolk residents, without their help we could be really stuck, both Bob and Tarina keep us all totally grounded.
Bob Turnbull has been an ambassadors at CCiS over 8 years. Bob is totally multi talented in what he brings to the charity from horticultural to photography.
Tarina Bennett has recently joined us supporting us all in every area and her support is invaluable. Tarina met us at one of our It's All about You beauty & wellbeing workshops she made the mistake of offering to help here at CCiS HQ and who could have refused such a terrific offer.
Tarina has brought such a variety of skills that we all clamber after & she's been promoted several times with no monetary gain just cakes!! Now she is the CCiS's VIPA (very important personal assistant) to all of us.
